Seletar Farm Birds

There were many of these birds pecking at the ground throughout the farm. I was allowed to get near to them, which allowed me to take a few close up shots. I had to be careful in otder not to step on them.

Here are some shots I took:

These birds were found at seletar farm. I wasn't expecting to find birds on the farm, expect for chickens, ducks and the usual poultry. But suprisingly, there was even a pet groomer shop in the farm and a german shepherd training ground! What a find. Anyway, there was a lonely horse on the farm too. I couldn't help feeding it with some carrots. An emu was also spotted on the farm. I was quite taken aback with the exotic birds, especially those roaming around freely. However, they turned out to be quite tame- maybe they are already used to the frequent crowds of visitors on the farm.

There were also some rabbits and hamsters on the farm. Most of them were rather inactive though.

Flower by the pond

This flower was spotted near a pond in the Botanic Gardens.

Garden House

This is one of the best pictures I have ever taken. Many wedding photo shoots are also held here.

White Flower

This is a pretty interesting flower-- I have never seen it before.

Butterfly perched

This butterfly was perching on a flower. I happened to be strolling past and I spotted it. It took some effort to take my camera out as quietly as possible, in order to not disturb the peaceful butterfly.

Monitor Lizard

This monitor lizard happened to be running by. It was a rare chance to be this close to a monitor lizard, so I whipped out my camera for a shot.

Lily pads

This was taken a a pond in the Botanic Garden. Occasionally a fish can be spotted hiding among the water plants but it is quite rare. However insects such as dragonflies can be commonly spotted.

Red flower

This picture was taken at the Botanic Gardens. The picture was taken with a Canon DSLR 500D. The flower was in full bloom, though I am not sure what its name is.
